As part of the Regional Operational Program of the Małopolska Voivodeship for 2014-2020, ARCHON Sp. z o. o. implements a project under the Innovation Voucher under measure 1.2.3.
Project goals: As part of the project, the company aims to develop a technology for the production of an innovative connection of casing pipes using threaded and welded technology for drilling holes up to 150 m. The traditional method of connecting casing pipes is to cut the thread on the pipe, but the material from which the pipes are made is usually characterized by poor abrasion and wear resistance properties. Thin-walled pipes are usually used here, so trapezoidal or triangular threads are used. This type of threads have the disadvantage that they wear out quickly, take a long time to screw in and have a tendency to shear. The new thread is to be resistant to abrasion, enable quick and repeated screwing and unscrewing, and does not cause shearing. The new solution will also use an improved quality material on which the thread will be cut, so as to increase its durability and multiplicity of operation. For this purpose, a technology will be developed for cutting threads on steel with increased mechanical strength and connecting it to the casing pipe by welding. The new solution will be characterized by increased strength and durability. New solutions developed as a result of the project are to be characterized by the following features: higher strength and stiffness, and therefore higher durability, ease and increased safety of operation.
Planned effects: Development of an innovative connection of casing pipes using threaded and welded technology for drilling holes up to 150 m with simultaneous piping
